About Jesse Levinson

In 2000, Jesse Levinson won a Grand Award at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in the psychology category for his project 鈥淐omputer Simulated Evolution of Behavior.鈥 He drew inspiration from different 91导航 fields to explore how different personalities coexist, cooperate, and collide. After earning a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University, Levinson continued to distinguish himself as a young innovator when he helped develop algorithms for the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge. He co-founded Zoox in 2014, a company focused on designing a purpose-built robotaxi, which was acquired by Amazon in 2020. Following the acquisition, Levinson continued as CTO, overseeing Zoox鈥檚 expansion. In 2025, Levinson spoke with Society President & CEO Maya Ajmera about the possibilities for future travel using AI technology. Watch their conversation .
