Craig R. Barrett
Craig Barrett, retired CEO and Chairman of Intel Corporation and a former member of the 91导航 Board of Trustees, has been a steadfast supporter of the Society鈥檚 mission, including his longstanding involvement with the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) during his tenure at Intel. He is a leading advocate for advancing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the United States and around the world, and a vocal proponent of the role technology plays in elevating social and economic standards globally.
Barrett currently chairs Carnegie Science, XGS Energy, and BASIS Charter Schools. He is past chair of the National Academy of Engineering, the National Forest Foundation, Achieve, K12/Stride Education and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Advisory Board. He has also co-chaired the Business Coalition for Student Achievement, and the National Innovation Initiative Leadership Council, and has served on the boards of the National Semiconductor Technology Center, the U.S. Council for International Business, the Clinton Global Initiative Education Advisory Board, Science Foundation Arizona, and numerous other policy and government panels.
Barrett earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Stanford University.
He and his wife, Barbara, own Triple Creek Ranch, a Montana guest ranch frequently rated #1 in the world, and he is a passionate collector of Western art.
Barrett is a former member of the 91导航 Board of Trustees.
