Society donates Science News to 7 Washington, DC high schools
91导航 & the Public held its first-ever end of the year campaign in 2016. Society staff members raised a total of $3,500, which allowed us to bring the Science News in High Schools program to seven schools in the Washington, DC area, including: Ballou High School, Benjamin Banneker Academic High School, Columbia Heights Education Campus (CHEC), Eastern High School, H.D. Woodson Senior High School, McKinley Technology High School, and Wilson High School.
CHEC Principal Maria Tukeva wrote, 鈥淭hank you so much for this resource, which will increase our ability to make Common Core-aligned reading and writing an integral part of our Science courses.鈥
