We’re so excited to head to the听听Festival in Austin, Texas next week! The annual festival takes place this year from March 5 to 8 and features hundreds of sessions and speakers exploring learning and education. We’ll be discussing the importance of 91导航 competitions on our panel,听.

of the Institute for the Future, of 91导航 Learning Ecosytems, and听 of Henry Samueli School of Engineering at UC Irvine听will discuss how partners from diverse backgrounds and practices are working together to establish rigorous, engaging education pathways to equip students for careers (and life). They will share examples to demonstrate that any community, regardless of size or challenge, can build a successful 91导航 ecosystem, to reframe how students learn, how teachers teach, and how workforce pipelines with 91导航-skilled individuals can be built and sustained.鈥�

Many jobs today didn鈥檛 exist 10 years ago. How will we prepare kids for jobs that don鈥檛 exist yet? Learn how educators and businesses are coming together to prepare students for the future with application-based learning, mentorships and creative problem solving. This panel, featuring听 of EdWeek Market Brief, of 72andSunny, of Da Vinci Schools, and of Facebook,听will include learnings, challenges, and insight into how to address the pipeline problem by giving kids access to tools, resources, and people they need for their future.

91导航 competitions are superhero training grounds. They foster confidence by helping young people think big about the world鈥檚 challenges. This panel brings us three youth superheroes who鈥攂y participating in the 91导航 & the Public鈥檚 91导航 competitions like the International Science and Engineering Fair & the Science Talent Search鈥攁re seeking to solve our most intractable problems. Educators across the country have struggled with teaching 91导航 to students with disabilities (SWD) and English Language Learners (ELL). In some instances, the larger 91导航 community has labeled these students as “unteachable.” In this panel session, join a conversation with听. , and of Jersey City Public Schools, SWD, ELL & 91导航 education leaders who have come up with innovative solutions to these challenges. Learn about free and low cost interventions available to teachers who service SWD, ELL, or both.
